This helmet is made with our quality 18 gauge steel and authentic leather liner
Expertly Handcrafted Replica
It is hand-painted and aged to look like a “Veteran” of the Afrika campaign
Due to the fact that it is hand-painted, there will be minor variations from the picture
The helmet features the Sand color paint made so famous in Africa as well as a liner marked with the 59 liner and 71 shell as well as the maker mark.
M38 Ramcke Brigade 2FJ Afrikakorp helmet as seen with Rommel in Afrika.
Ramcke’s Fallschirmjager Brigade was sent to reinforce Rommel and was
immediately placed as the southern anchor of the defensive line against
Montgomery and the British. When Montgomery smashed through the
northern part of the line the Brigade was left on it’s own to get back
as no transport was available. They captured a British supply column
and eventually made their way back to Rommel in a miracle story.

This is a really nice reproduction helmet, the best I’ve seen on the market so far at this price. The shell has the same weight and feel as an original I own, and the leather work – the liner and chin strap – are all well done. The only thing I can fault is the center seam of the liner: it’s zigzag stitched, and it shouldn’t be. To fill a vacancy in a collection, or to wear as a reenactor, you can’t go wrong.
